On May 17, 2013 Rock Solid Technologies, Inc. acquired a software product which allows online government tax collections. The product called Virtual Kollector was created by Knowledge Power Group, Inc. (KPG), another member from the Microsoft Partner Network in Puerto Rico. This product will integrate with the functionalities of Ingresys©, a municipal collections module built over Microsoft Dynamics GP by Rock Solid. Virtual Kollector will become part of Rock Solid’s Government Solutions Suite.
Virtual Kollector complements Ingresys© and increases the value perceived by its customers. It will enable the merchants to handle on-the-go all municipal business licenses, payment of sales taxes and other collections processes. Merchants benefit greatly from this high system availability and provides them with the flexibility to do their transactions without depending on the municipality office hours. Furthermore, Virtual Kollector provides the municipality with a central repository of information to help them manage all registered merchants’ transactions; and works as an administrative and approval mechanism for all submissions.
“We are thrilled to include Virtual Kollector into our Government Solutions Suite, a unique online collector that will position the municipalities as customer centric and innovative entities. This will broaden our customers’ investment in Microsoft technologies.” Mentioned Eng. Angel L. Pérez, Vice President of Rock Solid.
The Municipality of Fajardo in Puerto Rico was the first to acquire the product and will serve as an example on how technological tools can transform governments into efficient citizen service providers. With this acquisition, Rock Solid expects to increase its municipal customers’ portfolio, by satisfying the government’s need of providing more responsive services; and allowing them to embrace Cloud technology and its benefits for their constituents.
“We understand it was a good opportunity for us to sell our product to Rock Solid, they will be able to expand it and promote it very well. We will continue to develop quality software products for our market” said Mr. Dario Ayala, President of KPG (www.kpginc.net).
The online tax collector was built using all Microsoft technologies, .Net Framework 4.0, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server Reporting Services and cloud platform Windows Azure, emphasizing the company’s commitment with this partnership.
